John P. Rocco ’05 ’12
Organizational Management, with a certificate in Human Resources Leadership; M.B.A.
John is the vice president of operations and accreditation and safety officer for an independent community hospital.
"The M.B.A. program at St. Joseph's University was, and continues to be, extremely instrumental in my career advancement. In the first course of the graduate program, I developed a managerial abilities plan. I benefited from this the most and I refer to it to this day. The combination of this plan and the additional requirements have resulted in my personal and professional growth and development, which includes the skills necessary to operate effectively as an executive."
The Brooklyn Graduate Management Studies Experience
Every Other Week Classes: Choose from evening and weekend classes. These every-other-week small classes will provide you with the personal attention and advisement you deserve. There is also a hybrid version of this available in some courses, whereby four sessions will be on campus and four will be virtual using Zoom.
A Variety of Course Modalities: Adults with busy lives need flexibility when it comes to pursuing a degree. For that reason, you can build a personalized course schedule each semester, drawing from a mix of courses taught in-person, completely virtual using Zoom, hybrid, and fully online.
Reduced Tuition for Prerequisite Courses: Should you need one or more undergraduate pre-requisite courses, the University offers these at a significantly reduced rate — about one-third the usual cost. Additionally, some of these courses may be taken concurrently with graduate courses. Challenge/waiver exams are also available for some of the prerequisites.
No GMAT Requirement: We will look at your college transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal essay, and work experience to determine your qualification to pursue a degree offered by the Graduate Management Studies Department.
