Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Club

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a preprofessional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. We strive to create an awareness and understanding of speech pathology.

Students in the club raise money through various events and donate the proceeds to Smile Train to fund cleft palate surgery for a child who would not otherwise have been able to receive the surgery. Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, with a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and other forms of essential care. Over the last 20+ years, they have supported safe and quality cleft care for 1.5+ million children and will continue to do so until every child in need with a cleft has access to the care they deserve.

Events

In addition to regular club meetings, we also participate in Teen Club events throughout the semester. Past events also include the Autism Speaks Walk.
