The Five Pillars — Integrity

The University’s commitment to encouraging students to live a life filled with authenticity is captured in our motto, Esse non videri — “To be, not to seem.”

Integrity and a commitment to moral strength are taught inside and outside of the classroom. Our professors have a high standard for academic integrity, and push their students to reach their potential. Many of our popular student clubs promote the value of integrity, forming responsible leaders of tomorrow. 

Get Involved

• The Student Government Association teaches students the importance of leadership, responsibility and integrity.
• The International Students Union fosters connections between people with different ethnicities, cultures and views.
• Student Veterans of America unites veterans and their supporters, while promoting moral righteousness.
• All new students participate in the annual Investiture ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of their journey as college students and investing them into the St. Joseph’s community.
• Our honor societies set a high standard of integrity through leadership initiatives.
