When a certified athletic trainer does not travel with a St. Joseph's University, New York team, we will provide a fully stocked medical kit and instruction letter for any treatments and/or special tapings.
Soccer, tennis, baseball, softball and lacrosse compete at the outdoor athletic complex. Men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and swimming continue to host events at the Danzi Athletic Center. Directions and locker rooms will be provided by the athletic department upon request.
A certified athletic trainer will be available in the Athletic Training room two hours prior to the beginning of the event and up to one hour after the event for anything your team may need. If your team does not travel with an athletic trainer student or certified athletic trainer, please provide a medical kit stocked with what your players will need and a letter for any modalities. Without appropriate documentation (parameters, etc.), modalities will not be provided.
We will provide ice water, injury ice and cups for each team area. Emergency and biohazard supplies will be available at the officials table. We do not provide towels.
On-campus, there are certified athletic trainers. We are allied healthcare providers who hold national certification and New York State licenses to practice Athletic Training. We are your first line of healthcare access. Come see us with any questions or concerns about your health or athletic performance. We have a strong education on a wide array of topics related to healthcare and can help with things like nutritional issues (including information about supplements), weight training or performance improvement, and general medical conditions. We are available for injury and illness evaluation daily and are present at every home competition.
