Please come learn more about this imminent policy change forthcoming in this legislative session. Learn about the juvenile brain, adolescent development, consequences of institutional confinement on juveniles, effects of being incarcerated with adults and ways to make a change. 

New York and North Carolina are the only states that continue to persecute 16 year olds as adults. Adolescents are children, and prosecuting and placing them in the adult criminal justice system doesn't work for them and doesn't work for the public.

Black and Hispanic youth comprise 72% of all arrests and 77% of all felony arrests across New York State.
