Brooklyn Special Education, PreK-12 Advanced Certificate

The Advanced Certificate in Special Education, PreK-12 is designed to train certified teachers who already hold their master's degree in understanding the foundations of special education while offering effective practices for students with diverse learning needs. This program demonstrates assessment, behavior management, and pedagogical techniques while helping candidates develop skills and strategies for teaching students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities across inclusive and self-contained settings. The program also cultivates an understanding of the theoretical, legal, and research-based foundations of special education from Pre-K through Grade 12.
