SJC to Offer Classes at Fort Hamilton

BROOKLYN, NY August 31, 2009 St. Josephs Colleges School of Professional and Graduate Studies will offer undergraduate classes in a convenient 7 week format at Fort Hamilton during the fall semester. Three classes will be offered at Fort Hamilton and representatives from St. Josephs College will hold registration and answer questions on September 2 and 3, 9 and 10 at the Army Education Center, Building 218A from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In keeping with its commitment to providing military service members with affordable educational opportunities, St. Josephs offers a deep discount on tuition, charging $250 per credit hour for all active duty service members and their dependents, National Guard and Reserves up to 9 credits a semester. Department of Defense employees stationed at Fort Hamilton are eligible for a 1/3 tuition discount and all classes are open to the general public at the prevailing tuition rate.

Three courses will be offered at Fort Hamilton during the fall 2009 semester:

  • BUS 130 - Organizational Management will run from September 15 to October 29, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 - 8:50 p.m.

  • GS 401 - Problem Solving for Professionals will run from September 19 to November 7, Saturdays 9:15 a.m. 3:15 p.m.

  • GS 402 - Critical Thinking for Professionals will run from November 3 to December 22, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 - 8:50 p.m.
