Brooklyn Campus Council for the Arts Presents “Navidad Flamenca”

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Tuesday, December 2  The St. Joseph’s College (SJC) Council for the Arts is pleased to announce that for the seventh consecutive year, acclaimed dance group Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana will perform at the College’s Brooklyn Campus as part of its annual “Flamenco in the Boros” tour. Navidad Flamenca will take place on Monday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tuohy Hall Auditorium located on SJC’s Brooklyn Campus.

For this performance, Flamenco Vivo will explore the celebration of Christmas in Latin America. This event will demonstrate the rich holiday customs of the Spanish-speaking world from Argentina and Mexico to Colombia, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Through music, carols and dance, Navidad Flamenca highlights traditions all united by a single language, and reflects the influences of the Spanish culture throughout the Americas.
