Suffolk County Legislator and Alumnus Bill Lindsay III ’95 to Network at SJC Long Island

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – October 5, 2015 – The Office of Alumni Engagement at SJC Long Island will host a networking social for students and alumni with Suffolk County Legislator and SJC alumnus Bill Lindsay III ’95 on Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center. 

“As an SJC alumnus, it is a pleasure to see the ongoing progress that the College has been making academically, athletically and socially,” said County Legislator Bill Lindsay III. “I am very excited to join my fellow alumni and current students to speak about the various ways that I have been able to use my SJC education to excel, not only in the business world, but also as a Suffolk County Legislator.”

Lindsay, a Holbrook native, has been serving the 8th congressional district since 2013.  After earning a B.A. in Business Administration from SJC Long Island, he began his career at Government Employees Insurance Company before becoming vice president of Hilb, Regal and Hamilton.

Lindsay is involved in numerous community organizations, including the Melville Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Environmental Defense Action Fund. In addition to his duties as a legislator, he is a partner at the Capacity Group of Companies in New York City and chairman of the Economic Development Committee, vice-chair of the Government Operations, Personnel, Housing and Consumer Protection Committee, and a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee.
