SJC to Host Medicaid Redesign Seminar

PATCHOGUE, NY SEPTEMBER 10, 2012 St. Josephs College will be hosting a panel of experts for a seminar entitled, "Medicaid Redesign: The Road Ahead on Wednesday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place in the McGann Conference Center in OConnor Hall located on the Colleges Long Island Campus in Patchogue, NY.

A panel of expert speakers including John Cochran of the New York State Office for the Aging, Andrea Hopkins of Clubhouse of Suffolk, Inc., and Shannon Prasad of Guide Net, will discuss topics such as legislative changes, Medicaid waivers, health homes and dual eligibility.

"This event will provide a great deal of information for those who hope to learn more about Medicaid and other related topics, said Carolyn Gallogly, Ph.D., associate professor and chairperson, Department of Community Health and Human Services on SJCs Long Island Campus. "The speakers were selected for their vast knowledge and their expertise will prove beneficial to those in attendance.

Co-sponsored by Gerontology Professionals of Long Island and the Department of Community Health and Human Services at St. Josephs College, this event is free and open to the public.
