SJC to Host Expert Panel on Careers in Addictions Counseling

PATCHOGUE, NY FEBRUARY 24, 2012 The Department of Community Health and Human Services at St. Josephs College (SJC) is pleased to present, "Career Opportunities in Addictions Counseling, on Wednesday, March 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center on the Colleges Long Island Campus.

"Career Opportunities in Addictions Counseling will feature expert panelists in the field, including Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, director of the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD), who will discuss the addictions counseling profession, job opportunities available in the field and certificate program offered by SJC.

"We are so pleased to have Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds of the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence speak to our students and community members here at St. Joseph's College, said Dr. Carolyn Gallogly, associate professor and chairperson for the Department of Community Health and Human Services. "Hearing about the addictions field as a career choice today, right from the people who are immersed in it every day, will be quite beneficial to those in attendance.
