SJC Alumna to Receive Thomas A. Doherty Award

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – April 15, 2016 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that Lorraine McDonald '97, M.B.A. ’15, will receive the Thomas A. Doherty Award for Ethical Leadership at the annual Graduate Management Studies Networking Dinner on Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bellport Country Club in Bellport, New York.

McDonald will present the lecture, Career Building: Taking Risks and Having Faith, about having positive persistence, faith to make changes, ethics and morals. In addition, she will share personal stories about her life and career.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lorraine McDonald as our featured speaker and recipient of this year’s Thomas Doherty Award for Ethical Leadership,” said Paige Napoli Carbone ’02, SJC’s director of alumni engagement. “Lorraine credits much of her successful career to St. Joseph's College and continues to make the Alumni Association proud.”

McDonald is the vice president of strategy and operations for Emblem Health. She received a B.S. and an M.B.A. in Health Care Administration from SJC Long Island. McDonald resides in Oakdale.

This event is open to GMS students and alumni, and SJC students majoring in business, marketing, organizational management or accounting. Tickets are $30 for SJC students; $35 for SJC alumni and $40 for guests. Ticket price includes a professional headshot. RSVPs are required
