Program Description 

Join us to experience the best of Italy on a journey through Rome and Florence. We’ll discover the Eternal City's iconic landmarks, take a full-day excursion to the ancient ruins of Pompeii before traveling by high-speed train to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Blending history, art, culture, and local flavors, this itinerary offers an unforgettable introduction to some of Italy's most celebrated treasures.

Itinerary

  • May 13: Overnight flight from JFK to Rome
  • May 14: Welcome to Rome! Short orientation tour of Rome after checking into our hotel. Enjoy a group welcome dinner at a traditional Roman restaurant featuring local specialties. 
  • May 15: Full day guided walking tour including stops at the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, and afternoon visit to the Borghese gallery. 
  • May 16: Explore ancient Rome with visits to the Colosseum and walk through the Palatine hill to tee the ruins of the Roman Forum. 
  • May 17: Comprehensive guided tour of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. 
  • May 18: Full day excursion to the UNESCO world heritage site of Pompeii. Walk through ancient streets, villas, and public baths with an expert guide.
  • May 19: Travel via high-speed train to Florence. Enjoy a guided tour of the historic center and visit the Duomo complex. 
  • May 20: Visits to Florence’s two most famous art galleries, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Academia Gallery to see works by Botticelli, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo including the statue of David. 
  • May 21: Learn the secrets of Tuscan cuisine in a hands-on cooking class by a local chef, including how to make pizza from scratch followed but a lunch of your creations. Free time to explore the city in the afternoon. 
  • May 22: Return flight home to JFK.

Passport Requirements

Due to new government regulations, passport information must be provided with your final payment. If you need a new passport, apply immediately.

Without passport information tickets cannot be issued and delays with ticketing may create penalties and/or cancellations without a refund.

A copy of your passport is due no later than January 22, 2024.
