BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – September 24, 2026 – St. Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) has once again earned recognition among the nation’s top universities in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, continuing more than a decade of recognition among the leading institutions in the Regional Universities–North category.

SJNY ranked No. 56 among regional universities in the North, while also earning the No. 39 spot among Top Private Universities in the North and ranking No. 22 among Best Colleges for Veterans.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings evaluate universities based on a range of measures related to student success and institutional resources, including student outcomes, graduation and first-year retention rates, Pell graduation rate and Pell graduation performance, earnings by major, peer assessment, faculty resources, student-faculty ratio and financial resources.
