Bio

Robyn Reitano has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and advertising. Following her career in the brand licensing industry, Reitano serves as a senior lecturer and adjunct professor since 2018. She teaches at Pace University, Long Island University and LIM in addition to St. Joseph’s University. She teaches courses in Global Business, Business Law, Organizational Behavior, Brand Licensing, Fashion Law, Global Fashion, Luxury Fashion, Integrated Marketing Communications, Brand Management, Principles of Marketing and Consumer Behavior at the undergraduate and graduate level. She creates and leads business oriented study abroad trips for students. Robyn teaches college level business and law courses in Long Island high schools as well as summer college bridge classes to high school seniors.

Robyn began her career working at the renowned advertising agency Young and Rubicam for a variety of accounts including Colgate Palmolive. In 1995, she graduated law school and worked for Court TV and became the licensing director at the ASPCA. She later began a career at the agency level as a brand licensing manager/licensing attorney at both Viacom and IMG. She won the prestigious Licensing International award for brand of the year for her work on the Tommy Bahama account, extending the fashion brand into home decor as well as new fashion categories. She also worked on high profile accounts such as USPS, Jeep, South Park, Family Circle, Parents Magazine, Popular Science, Penn Racquet Sports, Dr. Scholls, Coppertone, and many fashion and art brands.

While raising her three children she worked as a licensing consultant with industry greats such as Carole Postal and helped to transition Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association to what is now Licensing International, the premiere association for the licensing industry.

Robyn is an avid dog, food and travel enthusiast, with a love of the outdoors including backpacking, biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming.

Reitano attended State University of Albany and earned a B.S. in Marketing, MBA in International Marketing and JD [focusing on contracts, international law and IP] from Hofstra University with a semester abroad at Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
