Bio

As a St. Joseph’s alum, I am grateful for my experiences in the fields of education and mathematics. I am dedicated to giving my students these same positive experiences. My previous experiences teaching mathematics in a variety of grades from K-12 helped me gain a deeper understanding about how children and adolescents make sense of mathematical concepts. I implement similar strategies to help my current students make sense of abstract mathematical concepts.
I enjoy educating future teachers by demonstrating effective teaching strategies and by sharing my experiences teaching a variety of student populations. I am currently studying the effects of teacher burnout. I feel it is important to equip future teachers with strategies to prevent experiencing burnout in their careers.
