Bio

Jonathan Galo joined St. Joseph’s University, New York in the summer of 2023 as the Director of Campus Ministry for the Long Island Campus. Prior to coming to New York, Galo worked in several Catholic parishes, the most recent being St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family Parish in Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he served as Director of Faith Formation. Galo’s work with youth and young adults has been recognized both locally and on the national level, having been awarded the national Parish Excellence Award for Youth Faith Formation via Technology during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At St. Joseph’s University, New York, Galo works to instill within the fabric of the University our five pillars—integrity, intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, social responsibility and service. He also plays a vital role in keeping the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph a visible part of our institution’s mission and identity.
