Scholarly & Professional Interests
Dr. Antonawich's research focuses on ischemia, stroke, neoplasia, apoptosis, neuroendocrinology, stem cells and metabolic dysfunction/disease. His most recent publication examines the cellular and molecular benefits of the palladium lipoic acid complex (Poly MVA) on the energy and antioxidant status of the aged brain. Recent collaborative work has examined vascular remodeling and anti-inflammatory effects of a novel organometallic complex in lungs exposed to Iraqi burn pit dust.
