Long Island Economics B.S. and M.B.A. Dual Degree

Long Island Economics B.S. and M.B.A. Dual Degree

Qualified students can complete both degrees in five years.

Our B.S. in Economics and MBA dual degree program blends the fields of business and economics, preparing graduates for a successful transition into a career in administration, finance, marketing, sales and other managerial fields. By taking graduate courses during their senior year that count toward both degrees, students save time and money, completing the dual degree program in only five years.

The undergraduate major in Economics signals to employers that students have the critical thinking skills required to rise to top tier managerial positions (economists earned an average annual income of $105,020 in 2019, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). And St. Joseph’s University's rigorous, hands-on MBA builds managerial confidence and problem-solving know-how through experiential learning in the workplace.

Our Economics/MBA students graduate with the skills and experience essential to thrive in the rapidly changing business environment. Our students graduate with a deep understanding of global markets, local economies, public policy, consumer behavior and the legal and regulatory environment.

If you are planning on pursing our Economics B.S. and M.B.A. dual degree, please consult with your adviser about any necessary requirements.

"The economics program at St Joseph’s prepared me for a career where I can improve people’s lives by allocating resources where they are most needed or best used. My courses here gave me the background and tools to look at an issue from a ‘big picture’ perspective and showed me the many real applications economics have in the world."
