8 Week Course, meeting virtually from 6 - 9 p.m.

Program Details

Program Cost: $875 per student

Required text is included in the price of the program

This training is applicable to entry-level positions within the hospitality industry in areas such as front desk operations, tourism guides, health care hospitality, or concierge service.

Participants may pursue National certifications through the American Hotel Association.

The prerequisites for enrollment in this course are the completion of the Hospitality: Profession and Service training course and the Career Preparation and On-Site course.

Skills Covered in Workshop

  • Participants will describe the characteristics of the hospitality industry.
  • Participants will understand and explain the Disney approach to service and the service model.
  • Participants will define and describe the benefits and long-term prospects for tourism.
  • Participants will describe and understand sustainable tourism, ecotourism, as well as cultural, heritage, and nature tourism.
  • Participants will understand and describe the characteristics of the restaurant and gaming markets.
  • Participants will understand and identify trends in health care, business and industry, and leisure and food services.
