Driver’s Education

Thank you for your interest in the Driver’s Education program at St. Joseph’s University, New York.

New York State (NYS) has mandated that the operation of Driver and Traffic Safety Education (DTSE) programs return to pre-pandemic practices as of July 1, 2023. NYS DTSE Guidelines require programs to return to in-person classroom instruction, in addition to no longer having the option of allowing students to complete 24 hours of in-car instruction under the supervision of a parent/guardian.

Due to this mandate, we are no longer able to offer virtual programming for Driver’s Education. At this time, the program that we offered at St. Joseph’s University, New York will be placed on pause indefinitely. We will continue to monitor NYS DTSE guidelines and revisit our options for programs in the future.
